How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX on our 2023 Ford F-150. The SkyBox is gonna help solve the problem of having more space, especially when you have a crew cab that's a little bit more focused towards moving passengers versus equipment and stuff. Your short bed is gonna be, you know, pretty limited for space, so you can take advantage of your rooftop to get those bigger, bulkier items on the road along with you. The SkyBox NX has the nanomaterial. And essentially what that's gonna do is gonna allow it to resist scratching and just maintain a nice appearance on top of your vehicle. A cool feature, you have a locking box and the key stays in the lock once it's unlocked. more

We have ours here on our truck bed rack system, rather than up on the roof just 'cause it's pretty tall up there. The box is going to be made of a durable ABS plastic so it's gonna hold up to the elements. Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2021 Ford Bronco Sport- Video
How's it going It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at how the Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop Cargo Box fits on our 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. A rooftop cargo box like this might be a good option for you if you're looking to store some longer items like a golf bag, skis or snowboards, things that generally won't fit in the back of your vehicle, you might not just wanna keep them there, and you wanna keep them protected from the elements while you're moving, this could be a good option for you. We have our rooftop cargo box centered on our crossbars here, because it is accessible from both sides. Both sides will have a locking system with this key here, all you basically do is turn the key to make sure that it's unlocked, then you push this button, and you can lift up the cargo box. It's nice that it stays up on its own, so you can have it up while you're loading and unloading without having to hold it up the whole time. more

Rhino-Rack MasterFit Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2015 Ford Edge- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at how the Rhino-Rack MasterFit rooftop box, the extra large version that's 18 cubic feet fits on the 2015 Ford Edge. So if you're planning on going out for an adventure or a road trip, it's pretty helpful to have a place that's not just your trunk or your hatch to store your extra sports gear, luggage, skis, snowboards, things like that. So a rooftop box would be a great option for that. This creates more space above your roof but it's also sleek and even though this is the 18 and 1/2 cubic feet version it is a good fit for the Ford Edge. So this is a very close fit meaning you can open up the hatch but you are gonna have to make some adjustments so that it doesn't touch. So here, with our hatch fully open all the way there you can see the clearance between the box and the hatch is like about a millimeter of space in between. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Taurus, we're gonna be test-fitting the Malone cargo 12 rooftop cargo box, part number MPG901. This has 12 cubic feet of space to work with and is ideal for storing a wide variety of accessories on your roof that you want to keep out of your vehicle but also dry, such as camping equipment, luggage, maybe even some sporting goods. It can only be opened from the passenger side, so when you store this, you want to make it more towards the passenger side to make it easy for loading and unloading. It's very easy to install. It simply clamps around your existing roof rack system. Right now we have it around square bars, but this will also work with narrow, elliptical, and most factory roof racks as well and round bars. more

Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Fusion we're doing a test fit of the Inno Shadow Series Cargo Box. It has 11 cubic feet of space in the inside and has a carbon fiber finish. It also comes with four memory clamps. These are the memory clamps, and by that, whenever you set your clamps into place using the gray knob here, and you fold it down, that's going to remember that fit for your crossbars, so you don't have to keep setting it each time. They also feature tie-down points here as well. To open up our cargo box, we want to unlock one side at a time. We'll push our black button here and lift up on the lid. more

Thule Force XXL Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2010 Ford Escape- Video
Today on our 2010 Ford Escape, we'll be test fitting the Thule Force XXL rooftop cargo box with 21 cubic feet of space aero skin black in color part number TH626. With the factory roof rack on our Escape, we'll begin our test fit by placing the cargo box up onto to the vehicles cross bars. After positioning the clamps to fit over the bars, we can unlock the box and open the lid exposing the two closest knobs. I'll turn the knob which will tighten on the clamps around the front and back cross bar. Now this double sided opening lid also enables you to easily load and unload your cargo from either side of the car. I'll then move to the other side of the vehicle and repeat the same process. more

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Ford Taurus- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo box with 14 cubic feet of space, part number Y07192. With the Whispbar Through Bar system already installed on our Taurus, we can now place the cargo box up on top of our rack. We'll then slide the cargo box backwards til our feet of the box engage on the cargo rack. Now because this box opens from both sides, we'll go ahead and center it on the vehicle. With the box centered, we can open it, reach in and tighten down on the T-handles which will lock the feet into place on our cargo rack. We can turn that knob and it will tighten the feet around the bars. Now we can move to the back and tighten down that handle. When we finish those too, close the box on this side, move to the driver's side and repeat the process. With our cargo carrier secured to our Taurus, we're ready to go. That'll conclude today's test fit of the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 14, part number Y07192 on our 2014 Ford Taurus. more

Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Ford Flex- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Flex we're going to be testing fitting the Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, with fourteen cubic feet of storage space, and in matte. It's part number TA614. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the flex, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. This box is designed to open from the passenger side, so we want to favor this side as we position it. Now take a quick look to be sure we have our box straight. Then open the box, reach in, I'm going to find four foot pads. We'll place two of them through the slot located on the passenger side of the box, being sure as we do they go around our load bars, we can then tighten them down. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Flex, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box, with 11 cubic feet of storage space in matte black, it's part number TH613. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Flex, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. This box is designed to open from the passenger side, so we'll favor this side as we install it. We'll now take a quick look to be sure we have our box straight. We can then open the passenger side, reach in and we're going to find four foot packs. We'll place one of these foot packs through each of the four slots located in the bottom of the box, being sure that it goes around our load bar as we do. We can then tighten all four of them down. With them all secure, we're ready to load our box up with some gear and we can get heading down the road. more

With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Refract System already installed on the Flex, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly on to our load bars. We found this at the best time to get our feet in line so we'll go around our bars. With all four of our feet around our bars, we'll be sure that we've got our box centered. We'll then open the passenger side of our box, reach in and tighten the two Accutight knobs located closest to us. These are designed to click when you have the proper torque applied. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Flex, we'll going to be test fitting the Thule Sonic Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 13 cubic feet of storage space in Glossy Black. Part number TH634B. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Flex, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly on to our load bars. We found this is the best time to get our feet lined up so that it'll go around our bars. With all 4 of our feet around our bars, we'll now take a quick look to be sure we have our box centered. We'll then go to the passenger side, open the box and reach in. We're going to tighten the 2 accu-type knobs located closest to us, until they click. A great feature of the Sonic Large is it's ability to open from both the passenger and the driver side. With our passenger side secured, we'll now make our way around to the driver side and tighten those 2 knobs until they click as well. With all of our foot pack secured, we'll load our box up with some gear and head down the road. As you can see, we do have full access to our rear hatch. That will complete today's test fit of the Thule Sonic Medium, part number TH634B, on our 2014 Ford Flex. more

With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Explorer we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. We'll then open the passenger side, reach in, and we're going to find four foot packs. We'll place one of these foot packs through each of the four slots located in the bottom of our box, being sure that as we do they go around our load bars. With our foot packs secure we're ready to load our cargo box down with some gear and hit the road. As you can see, we do have full access to our rear hatch. more

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2014 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Pulse Large, a rooftop cargo box with 16 cubic feet of storage space in matte black, part number Th615. With our Thule rapid crossroads roof rack system already installed on our Explorer, we're going to begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. This box opens from the passenger side, so we'll want to favor this side as we install it. We'll then open it up, reach in, and we're going to find four foot pads. We'll place one of these four foot pads in each of the slots in the bottom of the box, being sure as we do that they go around our load bar. We'll then begin tightening them down and with all four tight and secure, we're ready to load our box down with some gear and hit the road. As you can see, this box does allow us to fully open our rear hatch. And that will complete today's test fit of the Thule Pulse Large, part number Th615 on our 2014 Ford Explorer. more

Today on our 2014 Ford Explorer were going to be test fitting the Thule Pulse Medium Rooftop Cargo Box, with 14 cubic feet of storage space in matte black, its part number TH614. With our Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack System already installed on the Explorer, well begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. Our box opens from the passenger side only, so well want to be sure to favor this side as we put it on. Well then open the passenger side of the box, reach in, and were going to find 4 foot pegs. Were going to place one of these foot pegs through each of the 4 slots located in the bottom of the box, being sure that they go around our bars as we do. Well then tighten all 4 of them down. With all 4 foot packs secure, were ready to load our cargo box down with some gear and hit the road. As you can see, this cargo box gives us full access to our rear hatch. That will complete todays test fit of the Thule Pulse Medium, part number TH614, on our 2014 Ford Explorer. more

Today, on our 2014 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Force Medium Rooftop Cargo Box with 13 cubic feet of storage space in AeroSkin black. Its part number TH624. With our Thule Rapid Crossroad Roof Rack system already installed in the Explorer, we'll begin our test fit by placing our cargo box directly onto our load bars. We have found this is the best time to get our feet in line, so they'll go around our bars. With all four of our feet around our bars, we'll take a quick look to be sure we have our box centered. We'll then open the passenger side, reach in and tighten the two grey knobs located closest to us. A great feature of the Force Medium is its ability to open from both the passenger and the driver side. more

We'll take a quick look to be sure we have our box centered. We'll then open the passenger side. We generally are going to find four foot packs here. We'll use two of them on this side by placing them through the slots in the bottom of the box being sure that they go around our load bars. We've got the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack System installed on the Taurus, so we'll begin our test fit by placing our box up onto our load bars. With the feet out at the bottom of our box here, we found this is the best time to go ahead and get them lined up so they'll go around our bars for us. With all 4 of them around there, we need to take a quick look to be sure we have the box centered. With it centered, we're going to open it up, reach in and we're going to tighten the 2 Accutite 00:01:01 knobs that are located closest to us here. These knobs are designed to click when you have them secure enough. more

Wave got the Rino Rack Vortex Aero roof system already installed on the Taurus. We will begin our testing by placing our cargo box right up on to our cross bars. With the feet hanging out of the bottom of the box like they are, we've found this is the best time to get them in line so theyll go around their bars. With all four of them around their bars, we'll take a quick look to be sure we have our box straight and that its centered. Well then open the passengers side, reach in and we'll see four accu-type knobs in here. These knobs are designed to click when we have them tight enough, just like that. more
